The PMD Emulation Platform simulates the true nature of PMD. Using 3 General Photonics' Patented polarization controllers and 3 differential group delay lines, the PMDE-301 generates an accurate Maxwellian Probability Density Function with a tunable mean DGD value. The dynamic PMD emulation Platform has broad applications in PMD effects evaluation and in calibration of PMD testing setups.
The PMD Development Platform gives the researcher complete flexibility to investigate and experiment with different compensation algorithms. Employing General Photonics' Patented polarization controller, DGD Generator and PolaDETECT polarimeter, the PMDC-601 uses these award winning technologies integrated with powerful software to aid the researcher in defining and implementinng their compensation technique.
